I will be honest with you, I am not usually a fan of alphabet stamps, but this particular one has stolen my heart. The Art Deco movement/style seems to be making a comeback (and I think its going to be huge at the 2016 CHA show) and this particular stamp set fits the bill perfectly.
The unique architectural flare of this stamp set lets you add your own unique sentiments in a stylish and trendy way. Here’s a look at 3 projects I created using Modern Deco Alpha.
I associate Art Deco with clean lines, lots of golds and blacks, a hint of glitter and stylish elegance.
I used Shutter Cover Die and die cut the design out of Black and Gold cardstock, inlaid (be sure to take our Die Cutting Techniques online class to learn fun ways to work with your Altenew dies) the gold negatives into black base and added unique sentiment on top:
I also created a more feminine project, I used flower outlines from the Beautiful Day stamp set, heat embossed these in gold and framed my unique sentiment:
My last project was created in neutral color scheme. I heat embossed a city skyline using Platinum embossing powder and added a Sending you sunshine and smiles sentiment, where the word “smiles” was replaced with “smile” and stamped using Modern Art Deco:
While the cards I shared today all stay true to the Art Deco style, the Modern Deco Alpha stamp set can by all means be used for projects done in other styles.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, have fun creating!
