The snow will soon start to melt, the weather will get nicer and possibly even hotter and its once again going to be Ice Cream season! Do you love ice cream? I do, I still have a large bucket of Strawberry ice cream sitting in our freezer waiting for sunnier days to come.
The card I’m sharing today was created using images from the Way Too Sweet stamp set. First I stamped ice cream images in black ink onto watercolor paper and heat embossed them in clear embossing powder. I hate using black powder as it always leaves visible bits on my projects, so stamping in black ink and embossing in clear works best for me for a black heat embossed look.
I used watercolors and a large round brush and rather quickly colored my ice cream. I wanted to have a messy, imperfect look so using a large brush and adding bits of color in one or two strokes worked perfectly for me.
I alternated different colors for a bright and vibrant look – added lots of mint, yellow and pink. My sentiment, Thank You for Being so Sweet was done with the help of some stamp surgery – I combined different sentiments from the Way Too Sweet set to create it.
It s a fun set to play with and it has some cool sentiments that go well with the images.
