Hello!

Sveta is here today to focus on Altenew’s newest stamp set “Dancing In The Rain“.

It was love at first sight.  These silhouettes, the window image, and the sentiments seemed so unique and philosophic.

There are  so much ideas to do with this set, and today I will show you three of them.

The first card is my favorite one! The window is truly adorable and I wanted to make a focal point on it. I cut out a window from a black cardstock and stamped the window image from the stamp set on the inner part of my card. I used black embossing powder and little bit of yellow to highlight one of the windows.

Using clear embossing powder, I embossed the rain drops on the front panel. It looks so realistic on a Jet Black cardstock. I decided to use two sentiments from the set: one on the front and one inside the card.

What do you think is the story of a person in that lighted room? I like cards with stories, but usually it is hard for me to create them. With Dancing In The Rain Stamp Set, I plan worked!

In my second card I wanted to show you that you can use this stamp set not only for the “rainy” cards but also for the “shiny” ones.

I used the girl silhouette from the Dancing In The Rain Stamp Set. The sun is made with the To The Moon Stamp Set and the sentiment was taken from the Figure effects Stamp Set. I used the Dark Chocolate Crisp Dye Ink, Warm Sunshine Crisp Dye Ink, and Jet Black Crisp Dye ink along with the Spicy Yogurt Cardstock and the Dark Chocolate Cardstock.

The third card is about being apart with someone you love. You make two cups of coffee and then realize that you made the second cup out of a habit, and there is no one to share with. To visualize this idea I stamped one cup with the Jet Black Crisp Dye ink and the second one with the Evening Gray Crisp Dye Ink. For the background I stamped window image in four different colors: Carribbean Sky Crisp Dye Ink, Lavender Fields Crisp Dye Ink, Rouge Crisp Dye Ink, Buttercream Crisp Dye Ink. For a card base I used the Pale Gray cardstock.
