Hello, friends! We are so thrilled to introduce our video guest for the month of November, Michelle Short! She is amazing with all sorts of different coloring mediums and she created an amazing card to share with you today. Let’s give her a warm welcome!
Hello there, Michelle here and I am delighted to be joining Altenew as their Video Guest Designer this month. I love Altenew stamps for their layering abilities but I also love them for watercolouring. I feel their style really lends them to a soft watercolour wash look. I started off by stamping the outline images in the Beautiful Day stamp set onto watercolour paper. This was then coloured using Altenew Inks, a paintbrush and some water. I love these inks for watercolouring as you can combine the shades to give depth to your colouring.
Once dry, the watercolour panel was added to a gray A2 card base with foam sheet to give some dimension. To finish off, I added a few Sparking Clear sequins.
As you can see, the card is really simple in design but I love how the design of the stamps, along with the watercolouring, give a soft sketchy look. Thank you for visiting the Altenew blog today and a big thank you goes to Altenew for having me guest with them.
