Hello, everyone! Well do we have a treat for you today, we have the lovely Keeway Tsao sharing some amazingly beautiful projects. So here are what she has for us today:

Hi everyone! I am Keeway Tsao and I’m so thrilled to be here today as Altenew’s guest designer. I have been a long time fan of their gorgeous and stunning products, and always inspired by their innovative designs.

Just a little bit about myself. I am from California, and live with my darling husband and our puppy Kody. I started cardmaking in 2015 when I received my first handmade card from a friend and wanted to make one in return. That was when I discovered this world of cardmaking on the internet and have never turned back since. Growing up, I have always dabbled in arts and craft in oil painting, watercolor painting, crocheting, and drawing. I love making simple cards with a touch of messiness. Spontaneity makes it exciting and unpredictable!

I have two cards to share with you today. For my first card, I featured the Simple Fruits stamp set. I was so excited when I first saw this set released, because I just had to make something with kiwi in it! Kiwi has been my nickname for as long as I could remember.

The one technique I am absolutely addicted to is wet stamping. Since these fruit stamps are nice, solid images, they were a perfect candidate for this technique. I used distress inks and a mini mister to wet stamp all the fruits in the set in various bright colors to create a background onto watercolor paper.

Once I was done with my stamping, I used the same color inks to add some splatter across the entire background. I stamped my main sentiment in the center in black ink, and heat embossed my secondary sentiment onto purple cardstock that I trimmed down to a strip to adhere right below my main sentiment.

For my next card, I am sharing a project using the Adore You stamp set and coordinating dies. I hate fussy cutting, so I can’t live without coordinating dies!

The larger flowers and some leaves were stamped directly onto the watercolor paper. I used my MISTI to stamp a few extra times to since watercolor paper is not smooth and sometimes stamping once is not enough to get a crisp image. I then stamped some smaller flowers and a couple leaves that I plan to layer on top on a separate piece of watercolor paper.

For all my images I used watercolour to color. Layering complimentary colors to create shading and depth. Then I added some dark brown and red splatter to the card.

I then die cut the Thank You Die as my sentiment out of black card stock 3x and adhere them together for thickness. Then I glued it to the center of my card to finish.
