Hello Altenew friends! This is Virginia . I am excited to share a special Altenew project with you. This time, I tackled the Bold Alphabet Die Set. Previously, I made celebratory banners with this great die set (see here) for my daughter’s successful defense of her PhD thesis! Like many of you, I LOVE my floral stamps and could never be tired of using them. However, incorporating a floral stamp set with the Bold Alphabet Dies seems tricky. With my simple example, I hope this will kick start your creativity and perhaps inspire you to give it a try!

I love creating fun and personalized sentiment. I thought it would be cool to use the letter “U” and “R” and combine them with “simply amazing ” from “More than Words“.

Here’s the break-down of my creative process:
1. stamp the images (like you normally would). In this case, I stamped the rose and leaves.
2. plan out your placement of sentiment and spacing of the dies, line up the dies with a ruler (if necessary) . Use Washi tape to secure them.
3. die cut and punch out the image (don’t freak out here!!). Die cut some more with white card stock/scrap pieces.
4. stack and adhere 3-4 pieces and position the dies back to where they were.
5. embellish.

Of course, the new Build-a Flower Rose is perfect for designs like this. Whether you are a beginner or advanced in layered  stamping, the hidden sentiment (letters, in this case) is very forgiving with this technique. No stress allowed! You can definitely use it with all the other alphabet dies (see here) or sentiment dies (see here).
