Hi Ladies! Do you know Altenew is running the Sketch Challenge #2? I love to use sketches for my projects, so I had to try this new one. It’s so fun and easy! I encourage you to use it for your next card or scrapbook page. You have still time as the challenge ends on Sunday, June 18th at 11:55 pm EDT. Here is my take one the Altenew Sketch Challenge #2:
In case you don’t know the sketch, I paste it here. Hop to the original post the read all the rules.
For my layout I used the Altenew Reflection collection. I chose the green striped paper as my base and cut out a heart from the middle. Then, I backed it with white cardstock. I fixed the heart with zig-zag machine stitching. This also gave some extra texture to the project. Then, I filled up the empty heart with different embellishments. I used Epoxy Buttons & Wood Veneers, Chipboard Stickers and Enamel Dots from New Day Card Kit.
The flowers were fussy cut from one of the watercolored paper from Reflection Collection Paper Pack. They look pretty cool as die cuts. For the title I added one of the Acetate Die Cut and Puffy Alphabet Stickers. As always, I finished off my page with stamping the date with Roller Date Stamp.
I hope you like the result. I think it turn out pretty. Thanks for stopping by! Flóra
Hi Ladies! It’s Flóra here today sharing a new 12×12 scrapbook layout. For this project I used Altenew Relfection collection and New Day Card Kit. First, I decided the colors for my layout and chose the pretty watercolor papers (pink, yellow, black & white). Then, I cut out a zig-zag background pattern with Silhouette Cameo cutting machine.
I cut out the pattern from a white cardstock, so the colors can pop out. I backed the arrows, this took some time, but worth every moment. Once my base was ready I fussy cut those gorgeous blue butterflies and flower from one of the paper from Reflection Paper Pack. I adhered them with foam tape to give dimensions. I placed my photo and started to decorate my layout.
The title was created with Altenew Reflection Puffy Alphabet and Acetate Die Cut. I love the bold black result, it gives awesome contrast to the page. One of my favorite embellishments are colorful enamel dots. I am so happy to get some with Altenew New Day Card Kit. Their colors are just stunning. In the end I stamped the date on the top right corner with Altenew Roller Stamp.
I hope you like my latest project. I love the bright and happy colors. Thanks for stopping by today! Flóra
Hi Ladies! It’s Flóra here. This time I decided to make a minimal style layout. Sometimes I really feel like to create an airy composition. For this scrapbook layout I chose pink and blue color palette. First, I trimmed the blue dots paper from the Altenew Reflection 12×12 Paper Kit diagonally and adhered them in the corners. Then, I started to embellish the page. I placed my favourite chipboard flower from the Altenew Reflection Chiboard Sticker Sheet next to our selfie.
For the title I mixed one of the Altenew Acetate Die Cut word with the Puffy Alphas. As you can see also here I scattered more Epoxy Buttons. To finish the project I used a thin brush and black acrylic paint to splash the paint around. This time I only used the Reflection Roller Stamp. I hope you can forgive me and still like my page. :)
Few words about the photo may you don’t understand why this page got the that title. This photo was taken last year in early spring after a sunny walk. I remember the first flowers were already blooming in the forest. It’s such a nice memory. Thank for stopping by! Have a nice day! Flóra
Hi Ladies! It’s Flóra back with a new 12×12 scrapbook layout. For this project I used the Altenew Reflection Collection and Happy Dreams Stamp Set and lots of pretty inks. It was a whole lot of fun to create!
I started my page with a heart background what I cut out with Silhouette Cameo. I used one of the most beautiful rainbow paper from the Reflection Collection Paper Pack. I placed my 4″x4″ photo and started to embellish the layout. This photo was taken at CHA of the Altenew Team, it’s a very nice memory of mine and I really wanted to document it.
I created DIY die cut with Happy Dreams Stamp Set. My favourites are the tiny pretty arrows which I cut out with matching Happy Dream Die Set. For the bigger title I used my scissors and fussy cut them. For the date I used Altenew Roller Stamp.
When I was done I used the little bubble stamp from the Happy Dreams Set and mimic splashes around the layout. I used Coral Berry, Caramel Toffee, Mango Smoothie, Forest Glades, Dusk and Deep Iris Crisp Dye Ink.
Here is a process video to see how I created this layout.
I hope you like my project and I could inspire you today! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend! Flóra
Hi Ladies! It’s Flóra back with a new layout. For some of you this may be familiar, as this was the sample layout for one of the CHA Mega Show – Creativation Make & Takes at Altenew booth. It was fun to meet virtual friends and a great pleasure to work together. I took a photo of every participant of the Make & Take in front of the Altenew booth and they used that tiny instax photo on their layout. The creators could try all the papers and embellishments from the Altenew Reflection Collection. It was a pleasure to see how people love every single piece. I will never forget the enthusiastic shine in their eyes.
This layout is 8.5″x 11″ and for the base I used Classic Crest Solar White paper. The gorgeous large flower is fussy cut from one of the papers in the Altenew Reflection Collection. I created the title with the black puffy alphas from the collection as well. The only other additions are some wood-epoxy buttons and few die cuts, all in the collection.
I finished off the page with a little black spatter, so the background would not be plain white. I will also add some journaling under the photo, just to write down my feelings about this amazing experience. Adding journaling behnd an element can keep your layouts looking clean.
Here is a snapshot of the workshop. :-) Thanks again for stopping by at Altenew booth and joining my Make & Take! Hope to meet more of you in the future!
Have a nice Sunday! Hope you have time to create something pretty!
Hi Ladies! It’s Flóra here. Today I’ll be sharing with you some simple cards I made with the Altenew Reflection Scrapbook Kit. I only used a few pieces of the beautiful watercolor papers from the kit and only few embellishments. I also created handmade envelopes and envelope liners from these amazing papers.
For the first card I chose a green striped paper with some added machine stitching. The sentiment is from the Ori Kami Stamp Set, I used white heat embossing so it stands out from the green. I used white embossing powder as well for the butterfly, that was stamped on to some different patterned paper. Then, I fussy cut it and placed in the middle of the wood veneer. I love how many of the Altenew Stamp Sets coordinate with the kit.
The second card has a purple-green color palette. I simply stitched around the patterned paper and added different embellishments from the Altenew Reflection Kit. The chipboard stickers and the epoxy buttons fit perfectly with patterned papers of the kit, so it’s super easy to match them.
I hope you like my cards. It was so easy the make them and I really love the pretty results. We would love to see your cards made with Altenew Reflection Kit, so don’t forget to share them with us on social media. Thanks for stopping by today!
Hi Ladies! It’s Flóra back today. I want to share with you a new 12×12 scrapbook layout made with the gorgeous Altenew Reflection Scrapbook Kit. After two floral project I decided to work on a masculine layout and choose earth tones do to so.
This page was so easy! I used the atlas watercolor paper in the kit as my base. This gave amazing background, so I only need to embellish around the photo.
I selected brown and green elements from the Altenew Reflection Scrapbook Kit. That epoxy button is super cute, isn’t it?
The origami wood veneers fit perfectly to my project. I adhered some of them with foam tape so they nicely pop out.
How fun this die cut with the check boxes. I like the interactive elements and it’s so fun to personalise them. I also used the mini stamp set from the Altenew Reflection Scrapbook Kit to create the white vacation title with heat embossing.
That was it for today! I hope I could inspire you and give new ideas how to use the Altenew Reflection Scrapbook Kit. Thanks for stopping by! See you soon!
Today I want to share with you a 8.5×11″ scrapbook layout made with Altenew Simple Flowers Stamp Set and different Altenew Crisp Inks. I love this new set because it is modern, fun and includes lots of bigger and smaller stamps. What is more perfect for the one who not good with watercoloring. ;-)
First of all I chose the color palette for my project. I decided to use four different inks: Frayed Leaf, Puffy Heart, Blush and Mango Smoothie Crisp Dye Inks. Then I stamped Simple Flowers Stamp Set leaves and roses on a white cardstock and fussy cut them.
I was trying different arrangement, but in the end I like the most the vertical version. I adhered the elements on Classic Crest Solar White Paper and fix them with machine stitching.
The title of the page and the sentiment also come from the Simple Flowers Stamp Set. My favourite is the ‘Beautiful’ stamp, the thin lines and handwritten style is just amazing. The photo is placed diagonally to break the regular arrangement of the background. As you can see I only used one chipboard for embellishing, because I felt this clean and simple layout did not need anything else.
I hope you like my layout and I could inspire you today. Thanks for stopping by!
Hi Ladies! It’s Flóra here with a 8.5″ x 11″ scrapbook layout. I documented a fun photo that was taken by my fiance. The mirror makes the photo tricky, but I love the result. This inspired me to create a room scene, a kind that would complete the photo.
To create the wallpaper for the “room,” I used the beautiful Altenew Bold Blossom Stamp Set with new pink and teal inks. For the flowers, I used the Cotton Candy, Purple Wine and Cosmic Berry Dye Inks. The leaves were created with the Mountain Mist and Volcano Lake Dye Inks. I didn’t use the outline of the flowers and leaves as it would make the images harsh.
After I stamped the flowers and leaves from the Bold Blossom Stamp Set on a white cardstock, I decided to cut them into strips. I adhered every other strips with some foam tape, this gave a fun effect to my background. I placed my photo on the “wallpaper” and added mirror stickers.
To embellish my page, I added embroidery hoop die cuts along with more mirror stickers and tiny enamel dots. I wanted to keep the layout very simple.
I hope you like my new project and I could inspire you to try the strip background effect. Thanks for stopping by today! Flóra
