Svitlana is here. I hope you’re doing great. Today is my turn to make a focus on a stamp set from the new release and I’ll be showing Love You So Mush Stamp Set. This set is one one my favorites from the release.
First of all I love mushrooms (and the mushrooms in the set are adorable). And I really love word puns, and there are several very good ones that can be made within mushroom theme.
I made three quite different cards using this awesome set.
For the first card I went with rainbow and stamped 7 mushrooms using rainbow colors – Ruby Red, Autumn Blaze, Maple Yellow, Parrot, Turquoise, Starlight, Purple Wine Dye Inks. I used Jet Black Dye Ink to stamp the top layer and Morning Frost Dye Ink for stems. After stamping I die-cut all of them using matching dies.
Then I adhered all of them onto a white card base.
I white embossed a part of the sentiment onto a black stripe of paper and foam mounted it onto the card. And I stamped the rest of the sentiment directly onto the card.
For the second card I decided to play with the background. I started with a white panel and stamped several mushroom heads using Ruby Red Dye Ink. After stamping each head I was stamping over it using Clear Embossing Ink, adding Crystal Clear Embossing Powder and heat setting it. Then I clear embossed stems for these heads using Clear Embossing Ink and Crystal Clear Embossing Powder.
I also clear embossed some more mushrooms using Clear Embossing Ink and Crystal Clear Embossing Powder. And then I went ahead and blended Evening Gray Dye Ink onto the panel. Clear embossing powder created resist effect and I got all these white mushrooms that way. Also covered with clear powder red heads got protected from inking.
Next I added some white spray splatters onto the panel and after it dried out – ironed off clear embossing from the panel. Which then foam mounted onto a white card base.
I die-cut a heart out of Solar White Cardstock using a die from Halftone Hearts Nesting Dies, stamped the sentiment onto it using Ruby Red Dye Ink and foam mounted the heart onto the card.
I finished it off by adding several white crystals.
My last card is playful and fun. You can see on the first card that these mushrooms can be quite realistic. But also they can be fun and whimsical. Especially if you add googly eyes to them.
The card itself is very simple. I took a red card base and stamped several mushrooms around the edges using Clear Embossing Ink. It’s an optional step, but I often prefer such look. Rather than “bare” cardstock, which can look boring. But this is just my personal preference. Next I adhered a white panel onto the base, and inch smaller in size.
I then white embossed the sentiment onto a red stripe and foam mounted it onto the panel.
I stamped several mushroom heads using only one layer of Amanita using Grapevine Stamp Set onto a white cardstock and then die-cut them using matching dies. And I die-cut stemps out of white cardstock without stamping them.
I adhered all mushrooms onto the card (previously had trimmed some of them) and adhered googly eyes onto them. Which make them so funny and adorable! And I think with such appearance they work great with this sentiment.
So here you have my take on this stamp set. I hope you liked my ideas. Have a wonderful day!
