Hello everyone! It’s Lydia here with you today. I will be focusing on one of the products from the new release Halftone Hearts Stamp Set.
This is such a fun and ‘different’ set! In just one inking and impression you can get an ombre look. The different sizes and hearts means that there are many creative ways you can use these stamps.
I’ll be sharing with you 2 different ideas using this set but there will be many, many more! More
Hello Everyone! It’s Aga here and today I will be focusing on the beautiful set from the new release called Crafty Friends.
It’s definitely a must have for every papercrafter out there! This set is perfect for creating cards for the crafty friends in your life. It’s packed with fun and inspiring phrases paired with sentiments of encouragement and companionship, and with cute, little images to use as lovely details. More
Hello everyone! Erum here today . I hope you enjoyed the new release, as always we loved it. I have three cards to share with you using the two new sets Best Buds Stamp Set and Budding Thanks Stamp Set.
The trendy and modern diamond shapes are perfect for any simple or sophisticated designs. I hope today’s post will give you some creative ideas on using background stamps like this. More
For my first card I combined the stamp set in focus with oldie but goodie To The Moon. I stamped the moon onto Solar White panel using Ocean Waves and Desert Night Crisp Inks. Masked it off and inked the whole panel with Desert Night and Dusk Crisp Inks.
Then I stamped the cherry branch using Espresso, Dark Chocolate and Cotton Candy Crisp Inks and cut it using matching die. I white embossed the sentiment in the bottom part of the panel using Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder.
The branches were foam mounted onto the panel. Which in turn was foam mounted onto a white card base.
I couldn’t make a stamp focus post without devoting one card to embossing. I’m a big embossing enthusiast and new Altenew Embossing Powders are right up my alley. So my second card is made using them.
The sentiment was also white embossed and then the panel was foam mounted onto a white card base.
My last card for today is a watercolor one. I simply stamped several outline branches onto a watercolor panel and color then using my watercolors. Stamped a sentiment using Espresso Crisp Ink and adhered the panel onto a white card base.
I had so much fun playing with this stamp set. It’s very beautiful, the cherry branches are so realistic and layers are so easy to align (as always with Altenew layered stamps).
Have a wonderful day!
Hello everyone! Erum here today. I have been skimming through all the comments and I know you guys LOVED this release as much as all of us (designers) did! But then when do we not love what Altenew does?! Today I will be focusing on the beautiful Garden Treasure stamp set.
Garden Treasure stamp set is a 6×8 layering stamp set with 5 flowers, 1 small floral vine, 1 leaf, flower centers (stamens) and their layers.
For my first card I did some masking and stamping and coloured the images using Altenew Artist Markers Set A. For the blues I used Sea Glass and Desert Night, Frosty Pink and Coral Berry for the pinks and Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades and Evergreen for the greens.
I used colour pencils to add details to the petals and also to add a cast shadow so that it looks like the flowers are popped up.
Altenew Artist Markers are my new favourite colouring medium, I didn’t spend very long in colouring this piece. In fact this took the least time to colour.
My second card is a bit more whimsical. This look was inspired by a fabric pattern I saw. I added a few white dots with a white gel pen to make the design look more fun than beautiful. I stamped the flowers with Permanent Black Ink cube and watercolored the entire piece without giving much thought to shadows and highlights.
The sentiment is from Family Matters stamp set,
My third card also has watercoloured flowers! I stamped several flowers on watercolour paper, painted them then diecut the images using the Garden Treasure die set.
I stuck everything on foam tape for dimension then tried on various placements till I was happy with the result. For my stamens I used white gel pen and I also added some glossy accent to the flower centers.
For my last card I started off by stamping the leaves on watercolour paper and heat embossed them in gold. After watercolouring I die cut the flowers and leaves and popped them up on to my card front.
My card front was created by blending Morning Frost Crisp Ink mainly and Evening Gray Crisp Ink on the edges. The sentiment is from Family Matters stamp set. I absolutely love the thin gold glitter strip which is cut out of Gold Glitter Tape.
I hope you liked some of the cards I shared. This stamp set has so many possibilities that you just cant stop yourself! I had ideas buzzing in my head and I didn’t have enough time to make so many cards but I will definitely be sharing more soon.
Thank you for stopping by, thank you for all the comments you leave here and thank you for loving Altenew.
Hello there! Welcome to our Stamp Highlight and this month we are featuring Painted Butterflies Stamp Set.

How beautiful is this? We love how Marika has stamped in a light ink with the images from Painted Butterflies Stamp Set and then gone over and watercoloured in bold, bright colors. For more details about this card please check HERE.
Just love how Anna has stamped lots of the smaller butterflies from Painted Butterflies Stamp Set and then cut using the Painted Butterflies Die Set and then arranged them popped up all over the card, just stunning! For more information on this card please check HERE.
We love Svitlana’s card! The way she stamped the butterflies from Painted Butterflies Stamp Set on her background panel and then blended over them gives them a much softer look. Please check out this post for more details.

Hello! Tasnim here, and today I will be giving you a closer look at our Engineers Rule Stamp Set.
Ever since we released Doctors Rule back in January 2015, I knew Engineers Rule was well due. We tried to include images that can be related to a variety of engineering disciplines. The sentiments in this set are well in line with the title of the set “Engineers Rule”, praising engineers for their awesomeness ;) and don’t you just love those cute little ninjas? They make me want to design a ninja set!
I made a few simple one-layer cards using this stamp set.
I like it when all you have to do is stamp, stamp, stamp, and you are done! You may add a few lightly colored images in the background for depth or some shadow lines below the tank so it doesn’t look like it is floating in air, however being the lazy me, I decided to leave it at that :)
Here I put together a few tools that a civil engineer may use, and of course I had to have the yellow hard hat in there. My father in-law is a civil engineer, but I am not sure I should be sending him a card referring to him as a ‘deadly ninja’! Even though it makes me laugh every time I read it.
There is a little story behind the “and duct tape” in the sentiment above. In my senior year of college in mechanical engineering, my team and I had to design and build a system for harvesting rain water. I remember being worried about not finishing the building process on time. One of my teammates then reassured me by saying “Don’t worry, I got it all together, and in case things fall apart, we always have duct tape”.
I think this is true for creative people in general, not just engineers. Do let me know in the comments below if you can relate to this :)
An abstract plant in the background and our “deadly ninja” is just chilling there on their laptop. I trimmed and popped the ninja up. Perhaps he is sitting atop the column or perhaps he is floating in mid-air defying gravity.
I think this sentiment is sweet and you could send this card to just about anyone dear to you. Look at how beautifully the coordinating die cut around the circuit!
Last but not least, here is a ‘high-tech’ birthday card to all the electrical/software/computer engineers out there, or anyone who can relate to binary numbers :) In case you didn’t already figure it out, the binary code above says “happy birthday!”.
I hope you found some inspiration today. And you weren’t too bored by my super simple cards! I would love to see what you make with this set! So make sure to add your projects to our flickr gallery and tag Altenew wherever you post your projects.
Have a great day!
