I have to say I’m loving this set! As there is so much you can do with it and it works for so many different styles.
For this first card I stamped the large focal image from Arabesque Medallion Stamp Set at the top of a piece of watercolour card and heat embossed it using Antique Gold Embossing powder. I then created a galaxy watercolour sky over the image with gansai tambi paints. I love how this looks and that bits of the sky get ‘trapped’ within the heat embossed image.
To finish I added a sentiment from the same stamp set and a strip of gold glitter washi tape from the New Day Card Kit.
My second card is simpler than the last but similar in technique.
I stamped and embossed in Antique Gold Embossing powder the large stamp from the set coming off the top of a piece of watercolour card. Then I used watercolour paints to colour the image. I did the colouring quite loosely and the embossing helped me keep within the lines.
I think this project has a kind of celtic look to it. Being Welsh I’m loving this effect!
So I have a confession. When I first got this stamp set I didn’t realize that the small solid images that are on the set were supposed to go within the main image. These stamps are there so you can ‘colour’ the image just by stamping…. I thought they were ‘extras’, it just goes to show that you don’t have to use images as they were intended…
So this is what I came up with using the ‘extras’. I stamped the frame image in Limestone Crisp Ink. And then stamped in the sentiment from the same stamp set.
I hope you like my takes on the new Arabesque Medallion Stamp Set. And I’ll see you again soon.
Hugs, Lydia x
First and foremost, how beautiful is this stamp set eh? Gorgeous!!
First, my brightly coloured one layer card. In addition to the main bouquet image, I used the larger single flower, bunch of three small flowers and a few leaves to make my border.
I watercoloured the images using distress stains and Gansai Tambi watercolours. My background looked too plain in comparison to the border therefore I added a bit of green watercolour around it.
Also, I didnt worry much about shadows or highlights, I just wet the area and dropped in some colour.
Next up is the card that features only the main image (bouquet).
Rather than using a different colour palette for my cards, I chose to use the same colours. I stamped my main image on to a watercolour cardstock and heat embossed it using Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder.
Again, I wet one area and started dropping in colour exactly like the first card. As a result, this was the fastest card to come together.
As shown above, I added a bit of grey outside the lines on my bouquet. Therefore, you can see a bit of faux dimension to my one layer stamped image. In the end, I placed the word “Love” from Script Words Die Set over my image.
Likewise, I used the same colour palette for my last card. In my opinion, you can make your own bouquet using the Blooming Bouquet Stamp Set since it has quite a few single stamps that will help you with the same. With this in mind, I fussy cut the images after watercolouring and arranged them in my own floral spray.
I also added a bit of light grey colour wash behind my floral spray.
The word “Love You” is from Heartfelt Sentiments Stamp Set.
Whenever I am short on time, I use this technique of wetting an area and dropping colour. For this reason, my cards came together rather quickly.
That’s all for today. I hope you liked the cards. Thank you for stopping by.

Hello everyone! I’m here today to focus on the Enchanted Iris stamp set. As there are so many great examples made by our design team and talented guest designers in the hop, I was thinking that this post would be little difficult. I thought: “What else can I do with it to show new ways of use?”:) But there is so much do do with this set. So it didn’t take me long to come up with more ideas!
