Hello, everyone and welcome to our June Guest Designer post!
Well do we have a treat for you today, we have the lovely Vicky Papaioannou for our June Guest Designer and she will sharing some amazingly beautiful projects. So here are what she has for us today:
I live in Greece with my husband, my two kids and my cat Ginger! I love cardmaking and art journaling and I share my creations on my blog and youtube channel. My YouTube channel has been a great success over the years with a growing number of followers and that really helped me switch from a full time high school teacher into a full time independent designer and mixed media artist. I am finally doing what I love most, sharing my art with fellow crafters online and I also teach live workshops all over the world.

Hello Altenew fans. Today I’ll be sharing a layout I created using the Reflection Scrapbook Collection . Layers are a really fun way to use lots of designs and colors but at the same time you can still keep the overall design simple.
On this layout I wanted the photo to be the main focal point. I created flow and added detail using Altenew stickers and embellishments which are all available in the kit but you can also buy them separately in the store. The 6*6 paper pad doesn’t come in our full collection pack but can be found in the New Day card kit.
To create flow I used the Warm Sunshine Shimmer Spray Ink which has a gold finish to it. It draws the eye from the bottom left hand corner to the upper right hand corner and guides the eye over the photo. This in turn helps the photo stand out.
Some wood veneer birds create a visual triangle that will draw the eye towards the quote. I also added a hand drawn arrow and a date stamp using the Altenew roller stamp (which comes in the Reflection collection kit).
You can watch the process video in HD on YouTube or just watch it below to see how the layout came together.
I did have to play around with different elements for a while until I found a placement which I liked.
Thank you so much for stopping by. Happy scrapping and see you soon.
Hi, it’s Therese and I am so happy to share some ideas today using the New Day Card Kit.
I have made two designs with the focus being using the wood veneers from the kit. Firstly I changed the color of the veneer by adding black ink and heat embossing it with clear embossing powder.
Then I created a wood veneer window by highlighting the design paper and coloring it with Altenew’s Artist Markers. I used Altenew Jet Black ink to stamp the sentiment from the Floral Garden stamp set (which is the set that is included in the New Day Card Kit). Both cards came together very easily.
For my second design I added color with the Artist Markers directly onto a different design paper and also onto one the cardstock die cut flowers from the kit. I white heat embossed the sentiment on Jet Black Cardstock and framed it with a wood veneer. And as a final embellishment I added some of the enamel dots from the kit.
I have linked a video below. So you can watch the process to see how it all came together.
You can see my video here or Watch it in HD at Youtube.
Thanks so much for your visit today!
Hello everyone. It’s Lilith with a new layout its accompanying video featuring the Label Love (French) Stamp set from Altenew.
My mother tongue is English but I live in the French speaking part of Belgium and even though I use English on most of my pages I do like to add some French to them. My children understand English but they love to see their mother tongue on the layouts too. I love that Altenew has the Label Love stamps in different languages.
To stamps the lablels I used permanent black ink from Altenew and then I cut them out. I kept the layout simple and just added a couple of embellishments from the Reflection Scrapbook collection.
Drawing on a couple of arrows is a nice way of adding movement and flow to a layout. I complemented the arrows from the Reflection Collection by adding a couple of doodled arrows. To finish I used some Frayed Leaf Shimmer spray ink and just added a couple of splatters. This adds a splash of color also enhances the flow, guiding the eyes towards the photo.
You can watch the process video here below or in HD on YouTube here.

Have a wonderful day.
Hi there! Laura here and today I have a clean and simple project to share with you featuring the Halftone Circles stamp set.
I only used one circle image from the Halftone Circle stamp set, but with lots of color and repetition, it creates a clean & colorful design.
I used several Altenew ink colors on this. I’ve listed all the colors below by row. The ink sets come in full size or in mini cubes. I have a mixture of both and use them interchangeably.
Row 1: Moss, Parrot, Bamboo
Row 2: Caramel Toffee, Warm Sunshine, Buttercream
Row 3: Autumn Blaze, Orange Cream, Sunkissed
Row 4: Ruby Red, Coral Berry, Frosty Pink
Row 5: Midnight Violet, Lavender Fields, Soft Lilac
Hello, Altenew fans and welcome to the second Altenew Sketch challenge. The sketch and the color combination is based on one of my previous layouts which you can find here. Here is a look at the layout.
For the layout above I started by cutting out a heart. I then used a fun watercolor technique using the Altenew inks on some watercolor paper. I then stamped the flowers onto the paper and cut them out. You can see the process in the post here.
On my new layout, I thought it would nice to keep it simple so I really stayed very close to the sketch and color scheme. I drew a doodled circle and added my three clusters of flowers and my photo. Here is what I came up with.
I went with the same type of embellishments and added some gold touches with the gold glitter tape.
For leaves, I used the Freeform Greenery stamp set and Tropical Forest mini cube ink set. They break up the dominant red color in the flowers which I cut out of a patterned paper from the Reflection Scrapbook collection.
Tiny details like a stamp from the LABEL LOVE (FRENCH) stamp set and a couple of ink splatters with the Frayed Leaf Glimmer Metallic Shimmer Ink spray finish off the layout.
You can see how the layout came together on YouTube in HD or here below. I hope the old and new layout as well as the sketch inspire you.
