I love to make clean and fast scrapbook layouts. It’s perfect way to start out as a newbie in this art world or perfect if your busy!
What You Should Prepare:
- Prepare your favourite pattern paper as background.
- White cardstock paper as layer and you will decorate it with your photo, embellishments and stamps.
- Choose your perfect photo to scrap with.
- Washi tapes, and some embellishments are a must.
How To Make:
- Add the photo using washi tape in the left bottom area.
- Stamp stars randomly on the white cardstock layer. I used the cluster of stars from Happy Dreams Stamp Set and Warm Suncshine Cripsp Ink.
- Decorate the photo using a wood button and clear acetate sentiment that are included in the Reflection Scrapbook Collection.
- Add some sentiments to add around the photo, I used Jet Black ink to stamp sentiments from Happy Dreams Stamp Set. For the ‘Be a Dreamer’ bubble, I stamped it onto white cardstock, fussy cut it out and adhered it to the page with foam dots for dimension.
- I drew a free hand frame using a black pen and stamped arrows in the top and the bottom area for added interest.
Happy Trying! Love Evelyn
Hi Ladies! It’s Flóra back with a new 12×12 scrapbook layout. For this project I used the Altenew Reflection Collection and Happy Dreams Stamp Set and lots of pretty inks. It was a whole lot of fun to create!
I started my page with a heart background what I cut out with Silhouette Cameo. I used one of the most beautiful rainbow paper from the Reflection Collection Paper Pack. I placed my 4″x4″ photo and started to embellish the layout. This photo was taken at CHA of the Altenew Team, it’s a very nice memory of mine and I really wanted to document it.
I created DIY die cut with Happy Dreams Stamp Set. My favourites are the tiny pretty arrows which I cut out with matching Happy Dream Die Set. For the bigger title I used my scissors and fussy cut them. For the date I used Altenew Roller Stamp.
When I was done I used the little bubble stamp from the Happy Dreams Set and mimic splashes around the layout. I used Coral Berry, Caramel Toffee, Mango Smoothie, Forest Glades, Dusk and Deep Iris Crisp Dye Ink.
Here is a process video to see how I created this layout.
I hope you like my project and I could inspire you today! Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend! Flóra
Hello Altenew fans and welcome back to a new video from me, Lilith. Today I’ll be showing you how to create a layout using 2 patterned papers from the Reflection Scrapbook Collection with some stamps, dies, inks and markers from Altenew. If you have the collection you will know you get a lot of product but at some point your favourite embellishments start to diminish. An easy way to counter this problem is to create your own.
On this layout I used the Botanical Garden Stamp Set and Coordinating Die Set set as well as the Say Cheese Stamp Set and Coordinating Die.
The Altenew Markers are great for coloring in images as I did with the butterflies. Pop them onto a peg and create a fun detachable embellishment that you can add to any project. I added to my homemade tags. These are also really easy to make and the options are endless.
You can also create your own little paper dots by coloring some cardstock and cutting out circles with a punch or die. Add a couple of small dots with a pen pen and create little buttons.
You can watch the process video of this layout on You Tube or below:
It’s been crazy in this house of late. Eva is really on the move and into all the trouble she can find. Our house has just gone on the market and there are a million things to do. Time in the studio has brief and sporadic. When I did finally get the time to scrap this week I was craving colour and impact. The Reflections kit is perfect for that. All the embellishments and the beautiful pattern paper for this page has been pulled from the kit.
The large photo is great contract, but mostly I blew it up because, well… how cute is that face?
I added the black arrows from the Happy Dreams Stamp Set to tie the two halves together.
It took less than twenty minutes to put together, but with tons of visual impact. Just want this time strapped, crafty Momma needed.
Until next time,
Happy Friday! It’s May here sharing a fun card featuring Happy Dreams stamp set and Bold Alphabet die set. As the Lunar New Year is just around the corner, I wanted to create a sort of Happy New Year card by not using the common greeting “happy new year.”
Then I came up with my own sentiment, You make it happen! This also can be used for the encouragement card. By the way, my card inspiration came from the cover photo that I found on the fashion magazine.
I made a video tutorial to show you how to make this card from start to finish. I’m also sharing some tips along the way you won’t want to miss. :) You can watch it here or on YouTube channel.
How to Make a Card with Gold Embossed Images
- Trim red cardstock into 4.25″x5.5″ and treat it with anti-static powder.
- Stamp the feather image from the Happy Dreams stamp set with watermark ink.
- Heat emboss the images with Ranger super fine gold embossing powder.
- Mount my gold embossed panel on the A2 sized top folding white card base using double sided tape.
- Die cut YOU using the Bold Alphabet die set.
- White emboss the sentiment from the Happy Dreams stamp set on a piece of black cardstock.
- Add white dots between feathers using Signo white gel pen.
- Mount the die cut letters and sentiment banner on the card front using foam tape.
I hope my card inspired you to create your own card with gold embossed background.
This weekend I’m attending CHA, Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show, in AZ. I have lots of fun things planned including Make & Take sessions at the Altenew booth. Make sure to follow us on Facebook and Instagram to see what we are up to during the show.
Welcome Altenew fans. It’s Lilith with a new layout and video featuring the Reflection Scrapbook Kit and the Happy Dreams Stamp Set. I wanted a soft and dreamy feel to the layout and chose a patterned paper with flowers, butterflies and a bird on it. I didn’t want to use the whole paper and opted for some fussy cutting. Here is the result:
To add depth and interest I used quite a lot of foam dots to give the impression that the butterflies and the bird are moving. This also creates shadow and makes the layout look less flat. I used one of the stamps from the Happy Dreams Stamp Set as a title using Jet Black Crisp Dye Ink and added a second stamp using Lagoon Crisp Dye Ink.
The white die cuts which are in the scrapbook kit add an element of refinement and to draw the eye towards the journalling I added a label stamp from the Label Love Stamp Set French Edition. There are different versions in the shop. A couple of wood embellishment frame the label stamp and I also added a couple of foam dots to lift the label off the layout.
To add more movement I put some Lagoon Crisp Ink onto a stamping block and diluted it with some water. I then splattered some of the ink over the layout to create ink splatters.

If you have any questions or request please leave a comment and I will get back to you. I hope you all enjoyed the video and I can’t wait to share my next creation. Have a lovely day and happy scrapping.
Welcome Altenew fans. It’s Lilith with a new layout video. I used the Reflection Scrapbook Kit and went for bright colors. Also worked with some stamps and inks to create my own embellishments as it’s so easy to do.
2016 is drawing to an end and that is also the time of year when plan our next summer vacation. While planning I love looking through photos from this year and for this layout I picked out some pictures taken on our last vacation day at Lake Lucerne in Switzerland. It was such a fun day even though some of the boys put on a pout face.
Instead of using butterflies (which are my favorite) I went for something different but which was still light and airy: feathers which were hand cut along with some arrows from the Happy Dreams stamp set. The feathers from this set are really easy to cut out and I will be using them a lot in future projects. This set is so versatile.
To add a bit of sparkle I used some glitter tape which I stuck to some card and then punched out some circle shapes. They add a hint of detail which I love.
As for the title I used chipboard elements from the Reflection Scrapbook Kit and stamped phrases and words from the stamp which come with the kit. I stamped the word VACATION in Purple Wine and hand cut it. It is a bit tricky but this technique can be interesting as you can create titles in whatever color you like. One of the stamps on the Happy Dreams set had a curved arrow. I inked only the arrow and added a couple of stamped images around the cloud shapes to add flow.
You can view the full process in HD on YouTube here or below.
So there you have it. My last video for 2016. I am so excited for 2017 as I’m sure Altenew has a lot of new projects up their sleeve. I wish you all a happy New Year and will see you very soon with a new blog post.
Hello Everyone! It’s Aga here today. I’m quickly popping in to share an one layer New Year’s card using two different stamp sets: Beautiful Day Stamp Set and Happy Dreams Stamp Set. I think these two work perfect together!
I started by stamping a bold, black sentiment in the centre of my card, then I curved two sentiment stamps when placing them on the acrylic block and stamped around.
Next, I used a masking technique and covered up the sentiments to stamp my floral cluster around. I chose to use here the following Altenew Crisp Dye Inks: Jet Black, Forest Glades and Puffy Heart. To finish my card I stamped some tiny stars in black.
Thank you for stopping by today! Wishing everyone a Happy New Year and all the best for the new year 2017!
Then I realized that my coloring skills got rusty since I haven’t played with watercolors for the past few months. After several attempts at watercoloring, I decided not to color them but leave as is.
Instead, I added a touch of gold to my card with gold sequins, threads, and heat embossed word after stamping my florals/leaves in black. What do you think? Please tell me I did well! ;)
Before I go, I wanted to tell you that this Adore You Stamp Set is perfect for any cardmaking techniques – especially for coloring. Here are a few examples from our amazing designers and guests:
