Hi there everyone, Lydia here sharing a couple of ideas with the new Majestic Mistletoe Stamp Set, one even has a video.

I just love this set from the new release- Majestic Mistletoe Stamp Set can create beautifully simple Holiday cards and can even be used the whole year though when used as simple foliage.

I stamped the two different branches from the set. For the branch leaves I used Forest Glades and Evergreen Crisp Inks. The background leaves I used Frayed Leaf Crisp Ink. For the berries I used Crimson and Velvet Crisp Inks. Once these were both stamped I fussy cut them out.

Before adding the mistletoe to the card I wanted to add something to the background to ground it on my card layer. To do this I took the pine fern from Peace On Earth Stamp Set. I stamped this into the card layer using Forest Glades and Evergreen Crisp Inks. The sentiment is also from the same set.

My next card has a more fun take on the Majestic Mistletoe Stamp Set:

I masked the bottom part of a card blank using Spicy Yogurt Cardstock. Then I stamped the mistletoe branch with the berries repeatedly all over the top part of the card base. I stamped the first layer in Olive and the shading layer in Moss Crisp Inks. Not adding the extra leaf layer as well as the brighter inks, gives a fun look to this image.

Then I added the berries in- Crimson for the base layer, Velvet for the shading and Espresso for the pip on the berries.

For the sentiment I used Peace On Earth Stamp Set, it was first stamped in Crimson and then heat embossed in clear embossing powder.

This next one has a video showing ‘ Masking Using Heat Embossing’:

The branch with the red berries was stamped first, I stamped it using Olive for the base and Moss for the shading. I then stamped the base image over this again with embossing ink and heat set with clear powder– this with then work as a ‘mask’ by resisting the ink from images stamped over it. Crimson and Velvet were used for the berries on this branch, these too were then over stamped and heat embossed with clear powder.

Next I stamped the branch with the white berries. This was done with the same technique as before but using Parrot for the base layer and Olive Crisp Ink for the shading. I left the base layer of the berries and just added the shading in with Buttercream. All of these images were then stamped over with embossing ink and heat set with clear embossing powder.

A little shading was added with Sapphire Crisp ink and a few white splatters, before adding the sentiment from Night Before Christmas Stamp Set.
