This week we had a promotion with Lotus Stamp Set and I remembered one of my old cards with this set. I liked it so much so decided to CASE it. I remember my first steps in card making and CASEing helped me so much to achieve new level.
Black background, vellum and gold accents – what can be more elegant?
Here is the original card:
And here is the new lifted one:
This time I used dies instead of stamps to create vellum flowers. Fantasy Floral Dies helped me with this. I die cut two flowers (three layers each) from the Vellum Translucent paper and adhered them to the Jet Black cardstock card base.
The last flower layer I covered with the gold glitter. At that stage flowers looked plain so I sprayed with water once so vellum curled up and made dimension to the flower. Water effects vellum a lot much so in some places I needed to use more glue to adhere curled too much parts of the flower.
For the sentiment I chose a tiny word “love” from the Sweet Friend stamp set and heat embossed it with Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder multiple times. For the last in the row sentiment I used Figure effects stamp set that has similar font and heat embossed it with Crystal Clear Crisp Embossing Powder so you can see the last words only at the certain angle ;)
Such idea works great for love notes or valentines or you can hide any message on the card to surprise someone!
Hope you liked my ideas for today. I also have a question for you: how often do you do CASE any your previous cards? Do you think it’s a good source of inspiration?
Have a great weekend!
