2 Easy Floral Cards Using Watercolor Brush Markers & Refills | Take 2 with Therese Video

by Therese Calvird

Hi, it’s Therese and I am back with another edition of Take 2 with Therese.

Today, I have more easy watercolor techniques, this time using the Watercolor Brush Markers & Refills.

Altenew - PAF Anemone - Take 2 With Therese (card video) 2 copy

Starting with the Watercolor Brush Marker Refills I used them and created a simple wash for a background.

Then I stamped the Paint-A-Flower: Anemone in Gray Denim over top.

The sentiment is from the Hello and Hugs Stamp and Die Set.

My second design has the Anemone painted using the Watercolor Brush Markers.

I added a sentiment from the Leaf Canopy Stamp Set,

and some simple splatters with the Sea Glass Metallic Ink Spray.

You always inspire me, and I really needed inspiration. Months ago I thought staying at home and making cards all day would be wonderful; however, as this quarantine continues, I’m losing my “mojo.” Your gorgeous cards make me want to pull out my watercolor brush markers (my favorite coloring medium) and play. Thanks so much for sharing your creativity. Your videos are always a joy.

I”ve been lucky in that I have still been working full time as an essential worker, but found that my mojo was missing too at first. I started with a little clean up and sorting then I found a fave image and stamped it and decided to colour it with no intention other than to colour and before I knew I had a card made…. it was so relaxing and actually good for my head space too lol. Hope you get those watercolours out and have some crafty fun! Hugs Therese

Again, you show beautiful cards with stamp sets that are soldmout, so disappointing.

This set has been very popular and I checked that it was in stock last week when I created the video, so I am sorry to hear that it has sold out. I know that times have been difficult for the companies to keep stock levels up and they have been working so very hard behind the scenes to keep us all happy so crossed fingers it will be available again real soon. You could email Altenew and they may be able to give you an expected date that the set will be back? Hope that your day is beautiful, Crafty Hugs, Therese
