Stamp Focus: Mega Greetings 3

by Rubeena

Hi, Altenew friends! Rubeena here with a Stamp Focus post for you featuring the newly released Mega Greetings 3 Stamp Set. This stamp set is the third in the series and includes the large words “friend” and “love.” I will show you three different ways that I have used this set.

Heat-Embossing & Die-Cutting

For the first card, I stamped the large word “friend” from Mega Greetings 3 Stamp Set onto white cardstock with Clear Embossing Ink, added Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder, and heat-set it. I die-cut the word with the coordinating Mega Friend Die.

I did some ink blending on my folded card base with Mountain Mist Crisp Dye Ink and Volcano Lake Crisp Dye Ink. To add some interest, I splattered some white and gold paint onto the base. Once that dried, I mounted the die-cut word “friend” over it with some foam tape for dimension. I stamped the sentiments “a” and “like you is rare” from Mega Greetings 3 Stamp Set with Clear Embossing Ink, added Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder, and heat-set them. I trimmed them down and mounted them on the base with foam tape.

The card felt plain so I wanted to add some images. I stamped the small floral cluster and several of the leaves from Dearest Friend onto white cardstock with black ink. Then I colored them with some alcohol ink markers and die-cut them with the coordinating dies. I added them above the word “friend.”

Stamping & Heat-Embossing

For the second card, I decided to do some layered stamping using the gorgeous Build-A-Flower Rose. I used the following ink sets: Cherry Blossom Oval Set and Green Valley Oval Set. I masked the roses before stamping the leaves.

For the sentiment, I used a stamping tool to stamp “sent with” and “love” from Mega Greetings 3 Stamp Set with black ink and then used Clear Embossing Ink. I added Crystal Clear Crisp Embossing Powder and heat set it. This gives it a little bit more pop than if you just stamped it in black ink.

Stamping & Partial Die-Cutting

For the last card, I stamped the large “friend” from Mega Greetings 3 Stamp Set onto white cardstock using Enchanted Garden Oval Set. I used all four inks but in an ombre fashion. I placed the coordinating Mega Friend Die over the stamped word and added some tape to hold it in place. I placed it on my die-cutting plates partially where I wanted the top half of the word to be cut. I ran it through my die-cutting machine and then used a craft blade to carefully remove the top half.

Next, I added some black paint splatters to a folded card base and mounted the partially-cut sheet over the base with foam tape. I stamped several of the sentiments from Mega Greetings 3 Stamp Set with Clear Embossing Ink on black cardstock, added Pure White Crisp Embossing Powder, and heat-set them. I trimmed them down and mounted them on the card with foam tape.

I wanted to add an image so I stamped an image from Needlework Motif Stamp Set on white cardstock with black ink. I die-cut it with the coordinating dies. Finally, I colored it with alcohol ink markers and then arranged it on my base with foam tape.

I hope you were inspired to try out similar designs or techniques. I used a lot of my favorite sets and am happy with how these turned out. Thanks so much for stopping by and for leaving some love.
