Hello, everyone! It’s Aga here with a Stamp Focus post on the newly released Watercolor Doodles Stamp Set.
This set features beautiful floral doodled sketches that have outline images accompanied by watercolor “blobs” that are meant to add color to the doodles. I love that this is a very loose style drawing, so the doodles and the blobs are not meant to match exactly and you don’t have to worry about any imperfections. These images are simply great for quick and easy projects for any occasion!
Today, I created three clean and simple, one-layered thank you cards to give you a few ideas of using this set.
For my first, very quick card, I used only one outline stamp from the set with Permanent Black Crisp Dye Ink to create a simple wreath in the center of the card. Then I used Altenew’s Artist Markers (Rouge, Cotton Candy, Velvet, Forest Glades, Evergreen, and Dusk) to do a simple coloring.
To finish my card, I stamped the “thank you” sentiment from Thank You Builder Stamp Set in black.
For my next card, I stamped more outline images to create a floral border at the bottom of my card. Then, I used Altenew’s Artist Markers again (Frosty Pink, Coral Berry, Ruby Red, Frayed Leaf, Forest Glades, Evergreen, Dusk, and Jet Black) to add color to the images.
As a final step, I used the watercolor “blobs” stamps to complete the design. Here, I decided to go for quite a monochromatic color combo and used the following Altenew Crisp Dye Inks: Sea Glass, Ocean Waves, Dusk, Desert Night, and Blush. I really love this artistic feel created by the loose stamping!
Thanks so much for visiting today!
