Take 2 with Therese: Diamond Builder Stencil and Die-Cut Flowers + Video!

by Therese Calvird

Hi, it’s Therese and I am back with another edition of Take 2 with Therese.

Today, I am sharing two cards using Altenew’s Diamond Builder Stencil.

Altenew - Diamond Builder Stencil - Fine Bouquet Die - Super Striped Floral Die - Take 2 With Therese (card video) 1

I started by creating 2 backgrounds with the Cherry Blossom inks and loved the way these pinks were so happy and bright.

I created an inset on a Pale Gray Cardstock panel and added a Fine Bouquet Die on top of the stencil pattern background.

Then I added a simple sentiment from the Simply the Best Stamp Set.

For my second card design, I added a bold flower to the front of the card.

I used the Super Striped Floral Die Set and popped it up on some fun foam for dimension.

The sentiment was stamped in Obsidian Pigment Ink from the Flower Vine Stamp Set and adhered with foam tape.

Therese, beautiful cards!! The 3-D effect just draws me in. Also, your voice is so soothing that I can listen to you even when Iโ€™m tired. Your videos are always a guilty pleasure.

Awesome video, thank you. The cards are gorgeous, and that stencil is just great. I wonder if maybe contact paper in a matte finish would work in place of acetate, you know the stuff we used to use to cover cupboard shelves. Assuming a matte finish exists of course :)

Thanks for that as an idea! I had someone link a product that states it is matt finish and like an acetate so I may just have to try that one, they use it as cake surrounds??
