Hello everyone! Erum here today with a card set to share featuring the gorgeous Precious Peony Stamp Set and the Watercolor Brush Markers by Altenew.
I kept the design and color elements the same for the card set. And, to add a bit of variation, I used the three different stamp images on the three cards.
I stamped the flowers on watercolor paper with Obsidian Pigment Ink and embossed it with Crystal Clear Embossing Powder. To color the flowers, I used Ruby Red and Purple Wine Watercolor Brush Markers. First, I laid down pigment from the Ruby Red Watercolor Brush Marker and then from the Purple Wine Watercolor Brush Marker. Next, I used the water brush to spread and mix the colors.
For the leaves, I used Persian Blue, Lagoon, and Emerald Watercolor Brush Markers.
Once the watercolor was dry, I added splatters of clear water and sopped them up with a tissue paper for an added effect.
To make my card, I used a black cardstock that I cut at an angle. To this, I added splatters of clear water, poured Crystal Clear Embossing Powder over it, and heat set it. On the opposite off-white panel, I added black paint splatters from the Watercolor 36 Pan Set. Next, I adhered the image with foam tape and mounted the panel on the card base. To finish, I popped a sentiment tab.
I followed the same steps to make this card too, I just changed the layout. Oh, and I forgot to mention that I colored the portions of the white outline of the die-cut black that covered the black cardstock area so it looked like it was part of the panel.
I have a video to share for the card below, which was actually the first card I made.
Here are a few close-up photos.
The photo above shows the heat embossed clear water splatters. You will need to emboss these from behind instead of the top/front.
The photo above shows the way the water reacts with the Watercolor Brush Marker pigment.
