Watercolor Therapy Blog Hop + Giveaway

by Altenew

Welcome to our Watercolor Therapy Blog Hop!

Life can get stressful and many people find coloring to be the best therapy! This blog hop features projects from fantastic designers, all colored with our Watercolor Brush Markers, Watercolor 36 Pan Set, Metallic Watercolors, or Liquid Watercolors!

Altenew is collaborating with the amazing Kathy Racoosin from The Daily Marker to inspire crafters to find joy through coloring/watercoloring. Kathy is celebrating her 16th “30 Day Coloring Challengeuntil the end of May 7th, 2020. Please participate in the 30 Day Coloring Challenge by coloring something, then share it on social media using the hashtag #thedailymarker30day. We hope you find “Me Time” and enjoy the benefits that coloring will give!

I decided to use one of my favorite Altenew coloring mediums – the Watercolor Brush Markers (Spring Garden Set)! Instead of using them to color in a stamped image, I used them to paint washes and splatters onto different pieces of watercolor paper. Then, I used the different shades for the different layers in the Open Bloom 3D Die Set.

I love how simple, yet impactful this technique is! Whenever I get on a roll with die cutting, I often want to skip a stamped sentiment in favor of a die cut one. That’s why I pulled out the gorgeous Fancy For You Die and cut it from black cardstock to finish off the card.

PRIZES

This was a delightful hop to follow. There’s something so relaxing about watercolors, probably the fact that they just end up looking beautiful no matter what. Thanks for putting this together!
