Hello everyone! Lydia here! Today I’ll be showing how you can combine stencils with watercolors to stretch your supplies.
I started by taking the Mega Rose Stencil and spraying some re-positional spray on the back of it. Once the whole backside of the stencil was sticky, I added it onto a piece of watercolor cardstock and pressed it down firmly, you really want this to adhere quite firmly so watercolor doesn’t creep under the stencil. When this was in place, I then used Warm Sunshine, Autumn Blaze, and Rubellite Watercolor Markers from Spring Garden Watercolor Brush Markers Set to add color through the stencil. Once I was happy with the effect, I left this to dry.
Once dry, I removed the stencil. Make sure the piece is fully dry before removing the stencil. If the stencil does not want to budge, gently heat the backside – this will heat up the glue to make removing it easier. Caution! Be careful when heating as too much heat may damage your stencil.
